TOKEN has launched 3 all new high end carbon fiber wheelsets.
Each wheel has been meticulously developed to provide exceptional strength to weight ratio. The wheelsets are the Ventous - 36mm , the Konax Pro - 52mm, and the Konax Tri - 76mm. They are ready to hit the road in both rim or disc brake versions.
VENTOUS is named after the classic mountain section of the Tour de France-Mont Ventoux.
The carefully calculated 36mm low profile rims are suitable for climbing; allowing you to fly up the hills with ease, while also performing exceptionally well on the flats roads and speedy descents ! The ultra-wide rim design with an outer width of 27.4mm and an inner width of 20mm ensures sound handling and the safety of your ride without compromising the popular trend of aerodynamics
Q: Can I use tires that are not in the recommendation list?
A: The tire brands, models, and sizes listed as recommended have undergone extensive testing in TOKEN's lab. We do not suggest using tires not recommended by us, as they may have compatibility issues, such as difficulties with inflation or premature sidewall wear. We will periodically update the recommendation list.
Q: If I use a tire recommended by TOKEN, can I inflate it over 72psi?
A: The maximum recommended cold pressure is 72psi (or 5 bar) according to ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization) and TOKEN. Tires listed as recommended by TOKEN have been statically tested up to 115psi and dynamically tested up to 80psi without any failures. However, if you choose to inflate the tire to over 72psi, you do so at your own risk.
Q: Is there anything that requires extra attention during installation?
A: Try mounting the tire without tire levers first. If you find that tire levers are needed, use them with caution to avoid damaging the tire, rim, and sealing tape. If you have a tube of the right size available, you can mount the tire with the tube first, inflate it to the maximum pressure (72psi), and leave it for 12 hours to ensure the longevity of the sealing tape in the future.
Q: Can I use a tube on TOKEN hookless road wheelsets?
A: Yes, you can use a tube as long as the tire is recommended by TOKEN, and the cold pressure does not exceed 72psi.
Q: Can I ride the wheelset right after installation?
A: Like with any tubeless setup on bicycles, we recommend taking a short, slower ride first and then allowing the wheel to rest for 24 hours to ensure that the sealant works as expected. However, if you install the tire with a tube, the wheelset should be ready for use immediately after installation.
